Full House Remodel
Our full-house remodeling project in Hattiesburg MS is complete so we are excited to share some before & after images.
We are very pleased with how it turned out.
Room By Room Tour
Exterior
We bricked up where we took out a door, added a missing column, fixed the porch skirting, painted the entire house, and installed all new windows.
Mike built the cute orange bench (a nod to Tennessee) out of an old bed. It looks so happy!
Kitchen
This is the kitchen transformation. The previous owner had started the remodel and already had the cabinets and countertops. However, we discovered that the cast iron pipes were corroded, so we had to again jackhammer the floor and fix the pipes. That is one dusty, nasty job! But, they are done right !
The island was originally a 4ft x 4ft box on wheels, so we cut it down so that it would better fit in the space and also added the overhang so that it would accommodate bar stools.
Pantry

We moved the furnace to the attic, added a tankless hot water heater to the outside of the house and basically created the adorable pantry.
I bought the old door off of FB marketplace, sanded and painted it, frosted the
glass and added the decal.
Mike had to add several inches to the bottom and the hang it. As usual, he did a great job. I’m totally jealous of their pantry.
The little medicine cabinet was on a bedroom wall, so it was repurposed as well.
Den/Dining ROom
We took up all the flooring the original owner had started putting down.
Enclosed the carport door to make a master closet.
Added a new entrance to the master bedroom.
Added a feature wall and an entry coat wall.
Laundry Room
Took it down to the studs. More jackhammering. Moved walls. Added tile floors, granite countertops, doors, backsplash, and a chandelier. Super cute!
Front Bedroom
We took out an exterior door and bricked up the opening, moved the door into the room and added a closet.
Hall Bathroom
More jackhammering to fix a leak.
We agonized over paint colors but finally nailed it.
Vanity came from Repeat Street and we added the sink.
Back Bedroom
Besides removing yet another exterior door, everything was cosmetic.
New windows, new doors, paint, and flooring.
Master Bathroom
Probably the biggest transformation was in the master bathroom. We took it down to the studs, moved a wall, jackhammered the floor to move the toilet and shower, and then put it all back together.
